I had a cat that loved breads and vegetables.
One day we cooked corn on the cob, boiling it on the stove. While eating, we left the remaining ears in the cooling pot on the stove. We heard a “thunk”, and turned to see the cat jump down from the counter. She had fished out an ear of corn, then carried it under the table, where she proceeded to pick it cleaner than I do.
The same cat loved canteloupe, honeydew, and watermelon. Her absolute favorite food, however, was peas. Fresh, canned, frozen, cooked, uncooked… she didn’t care, as long as she got them any time we did.
