Sleeping with your pets is hazardous.
- You get too hot. Dogs and cats have a normal body temperature 3 degrees higher than human.
- You may fall out of bed because your dog stretched out and pushed you those last few precious inches you were allowed to use.
- Animals that awake to a sudden noise may stomp on tender bits. This risk is higher if you have teenagers in the house.
- Cat tongues are scratchy. They like to clean you when they are half-awake.
- You aren’t allowed to sleep in. Ever. They want breakfast.
I can't imagine not welcoming my pets on my bed.
