If you got this dog or cat from a private party, and they won’t/can’t provide records, or disclose where they went for care, you have another chance. If your new pet has microchip ID, there may be information registered regarding what veterinary practice implanted the chip. Ask us to scan for a chip, and if present, to look into this for you. If you adopted your pet from a shelter, there should be an adoption packet with any known history.

If you don’t get information regarding prior care, assume there was none, and start over. It’s better to be safe than sorry regarding preventable diseases.
