Nope. The first rabies vaccination is good for one year, no matter the age of your dog when it is given. After that, in most US states, each successive vaccination is good for 3 years. Some states limit it to 1 year for all rabies vaccinations, but that is a political limitation not medical. This assumes the vaccine used is licensed for 3 years. There are vaccines that are only licensed for 1 year, in which case it must be given annually.
