The pet food industry isn’t saying your pets can’t eat raw meat. However, the research shows that a raw meat diet is deficient in critical nutrients, so you have to supplement the diet. You also have to be extremely careful with food safety in your kitchen. Then make sure you clean carefully in and around the feeding area promptly. Even then, your pet has raw meat and its residue around its muzzle - again, you have to keep this area clean.
A proper raw meat diet is also going to cost you a LOT more than even the most premium commercial pet food.
